Brewer's Tavern

No one seems to be writing opinion pieces quite the way I would, so I decided to do it myself.

The name? Taverns are places where one goes to discuss the interesting events and things in the world, so this is my tavern.

I will offer my views on politics, economics, and whatever else strikes my fancy.
I will occasionally publish the entire article from another journal for purposes of causing discussion.

More on SARS

CBS News reports that the SARS virus has been found in civet cats, a badger and a raccoon dog in China. The article points out that the animals may have caught the virus from humans rather than the reverse, so this does not explain where the virus came from.

However, a recent study also indicates that 30% of the early SARS cases in China were in food handlers, which causes them to think the SARS virus may have originated in wildlife that was prepared as food.
